It is possible to combine two local networks in several different ways. The option you choose depends on your needs, as well as the devices with which these networks were created.

Instructions
Step 1
Let's say you need to combine two local networks built using wireless Wi-Fi routers. That is, you have two Wi-Fi hotspots and two cable subnets.
Step 2
First, analyze the capabilities of your routers. The fact is that most of these devices cannot simultaneously work with two wireless networks. Those. you cannot connect Wi-Fi equipment to an existing access point and, at the same time, create a new wireless network.
Step 3
In this regard, it is most reasonable to connect the routers with a network cable. Most likely, one of them will be connected to the Internet. Establish a wired connection between the routers as follows: connect one end of the network cable to the Internet (WAN) port of equipment that has Internet access, and the other end to the Ethernet (LAN) port of another router.
Step 4
If the first equipment has already established a connection with the provider's server, then just make sure the DHCP function is active.
Step 5
Most likely, a wireless access point already exists. Connect a laptop or computer to the second router using the LAN (Ethernet) connector.
Step 6
Open the settings for this equipment. In the Internet Setup menu, select the WAN (Internet) port as the main Internet signal receiving channel.
Step 7
Open the Wireless Setup menu. For the convenience of using a shared network, it is recommended to set the same settings for both wireless access points. Modify the parameters of this network to match the settings of the first router.
Step 8
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that laptops connected to different wireless access points will be connected to each other on a single network. Therefore, it is better to store shared files on computers connected to routers with cables.
