Instructions
Step 1
If you decide to use your mobile phone as a GPRS modem, but you do not have a USB cable, then use the BlueTooth network to connect to your laptop. In this case, you will need a special adapter or built-in equipment designed to work with this network. Select and install the program that you need to synchronize your mobile phone with your laptop.
Step 2
Typically, the PC Suite utility is used. Select the software version that matches your mobile phone, for example Nokia PC Suite for Nokia phones. Now turn on the BlueTooth function on your mobile phone and make it visible to other devices.
Step 3
Now turn on your laptop and open the Start menu. Go to the "Devices and Printers" submenu. Click the Add Device button. Wait for the mobile computer to find your mobile phone. Select its icon and click the Add button. Now set the parameters of your BlueTooth network. Click the Finish button.
Step 4
Launch Nokia PC Suite. Select "Internet Connection". Set up this connection in the same way as you did when setting up your mobile phone to access the Internet. Enter the access point, username and password of your operator.
Step 5
Click the "Connect" button and wait while the connection with the server is completed. Remember that the data transfer rate over the BlueTooth channel is quite low (up to 1 Mbps). If your phone supports the 3G standard, then the speed of the laptop access to the Internet will be much lower than the speed of the mobile phone connection.
Step 6
To increase the speed of loading pages, it is recommended to use computer analogs of Java applications, for example Opera Mini. This will significantly save traffic, which is very important if you are not using an unlimited plan.
