The ICQ program has long been known to users all over the world as a convenient free messenger for online communication. The ICQ administration monitors the development of computer technologies, and now the messenger's capabilities also provide for the creation of video chats.

Step 1
Receiving and transmitting online video requires a fairly high speed Internet connection and appropriate port settings. Most home firewalls and routers automatically allow outgoing UPD packets, but corporate services can deny this connection, making video communication impossible. Make sure the port settings allow communication in the range 5190 - 5200.
Step 2
The next system requirement is to use an operating system no older than Windows Xp; also the latest ICQ version must be installed on your computer. The interlocutor's computer should have similar characteristics. Please note that video communication is only possible between users using the ICQ client.
Step 3
The ICQ program is based on RTC, which must be installed on your computer. If this is your first time using video chat, RTC will offer you automatic download and installation. Allow these steps and meet the system requirements to complete the installation. You may need to restart your computer after the installation is complete.
Step 4
Log in to the ICQ program and look at your contact list. You can only start a video conversation with an online user. Double click on your friend's name to open the chat dialog. Inside the window, expand the Xtraz Center panel, find the "Conferencing" category inside - it is indicated by the webcam icon. Click on the video call button to send a request for this chat to the interlocutor. The user must necessarily confirm his consent to the video conversation with you. Please note that video chat can only take place between two users at the same time. You cannot invite mutual friends to your conversation.
Step 5
The ICQ program makes it possible to use video conversation, even if there is only one computer with a webcam. Even if your interlocutor does not have a camera, your conversation will still take place, however, your friend will be able to see you, but there will be no image of him in front of you.
