Getting used to using a certain player, I want to add variety by changing its appearance. This can be done using player covers, or "skins". Using the example of Windows Media Player, which is popular among users, we will consider the procedure for installing new skins.
Instructions
Step 1
By default, Windows Media Player starts in library mode. This is convenient if all of your songs on the hard disk are recorded using album, artist, genre, etc. information, which the player organizes the files in its library according to. But in most cases, the files do not have all the necessary data, and the library is not very convenient to use. We have to be content with the cover mode.
Step 2
To install a new "skin", switch to the skin selection mode. This can be done by right-clicking in a free area of the player's menu bar and choosing the "Skin selection" command from the context menu.
Step 3
A menu for selecting and setting skins for the player will open. By default, the list is small, and you probably want to put some original "skin". To do this, click the "Other Covers" button to go to the official Microsoft page, where you can download any cover you like for free.
Step 4
Select the "skin" you are interested in and click on its icon to download. After the file is downloaded, click on it and it will be immediately installed on your computer and added to the list of covers. Select a "skin" from the list and click on it to set it as the current skin.
