Before starting the overclocking process, it is recommended to clean Windows from unnecessary files. There are special programs for this. A prime example is the RegCleaner utility. Install and run this program on your computer. Enable scanning, allowing the program to automatically find unnecessary or "broken" registry files. After scanning is complete, click "cleanup".
Step 2
Another method to speed up your computer, which allows you to increase the speed of data processing by 10-15%, is to disable file indexing. Open the properties of the local drive where the operating system is located. Find the item "Allow to index the contents of files on this disk …" at the bottom and uncheck the box. After completing the process, restart your computer.
Step 3
Download and install GameBooster or ASC software. Run the program and perform a full system security scan. After that, find the "optimization" option and let the program automatically tune your computer settings for the best performance. Please note that the program can disable processes and services that are rarely used by users. But you may need them later. In such cases, it is recommended to resort to manual tuning of optimization parameters.
