Changing the audio volume in an avi file is a fairly simple operation. It can be done using any video editor that can work with avi files or a converter program that has sound filters.
Necessary
- - Movie Maker program;
- - Canopus ProCoder program;
- - video file.
Instructions
Step 1
You can use Movie Maker to increase the volume of the audio track. Load the avi file into it by dragging the video icon into the program window or using the "Import video" option.
Step 2
Transfer the file to the timeline using the "Add to Timeline" option of the "Clip" menu. You can just drag the icon with your mouse. The audio track of the loaded movie will be displayed at the bottom of the timeline.
Step 3
In order to open the settings, use the "Volume" option of the "Audio" group of the "Clip" menu. This option is also present in the context menu, which can be called by right-clicking on the audio track. Move the slider to the right on the volume scale that appears. Listen to the result by clicking the play button located under the player window.
Step 4
Save the modified file using the "Save to Computer" option.
Step 5
To increase the volume of the audio in the avi file, one of the filters of the Canopus ProCoder converter program is quite suitable. Download the video by clicking on the Add button of the Source tab, which will open when the program starts.
Step 6
Click the Advanced button to open the settings window. Move the pointer of the current frame under the player window to any fragment of the file, according to the volume level of which you can adjust the filter, and go to the Audio Filter tab.
Step 7
Expand the list of filters by clicking the Add button and select Volume. Adjust the volume and listen to the result by clicking on the Play Result button. With the default settings, the sound will play at increased volume for two seconds. If this time was not enough to evaluate the result of applying the filter, select a different duration from the Duration drop-down list.
Step 8
To save the file, go to the Target tab, select the file type from the list of presets and adjust the video parameters. If you are not going to convert the file to another format, copy the file settings from the Source tab.
Step 9
Go to the Convert tab and start the video saving process by clicking on the Convert button.
