Computer memory is usually understood as either random access memory (working memory) or the size of the hard disk (storage memory). The speed and power of the computer depends on the first, and the amount of information that can be written to the computer depends on the second. Memory is measured in Megabytes (Mb) or Gigabytes (GB), where and how to view them read below.
Instructions
Step 1
Random access memory (RAM, RAM).
Click the Start button. Right click on the Computer icon. The "System" console will open in front of you, it lists the main characteristics of your computer, including the size of the RAM. In Windows Vista, this inscription looks like this: "Memory (RAM): 1024 MB".
Step 2
The capacity of the hard disk (hard drive, screw, hard drive).
Click the Start button. Go to "My Computer". You will see a window with a list of hard (local) drives on your computer. Each of them has its size written underneath. If there is no signature, move the mouse over the images of the disk, a hint will appear.
