The operations of creating backup copies of individual keys or the entire system registry of Microsoft Windows can be useful to the user to fix the resulting damage to the system or when exporting the necessary configuration parameters.
Instructions
Step 1
Call the main menu of the Windows operating system to perform the procedure for creating a backup copy of a separate file of the system registry and select the "Run" command.
Step 2
Enter the value regedit in the "Open" line. Select the OK button, confirming the execution of the command to open the "Registry Editor" utility.
Step 3
Define the branch containing the key to be copied and select the required parameter by clicking the left mouse button.

Expand the File menu in the top pane of the Registry Editor window and select Export.
Step 5
Enter the desired value for the name of the created copy in the corresponding field of the dialog box that opens. Specify the full path to where the backup is saved.

Confirm the execution of the copy command by clicking OK or go to the main menu "Start" again to perform the procedure for creating a complete copy of the entire registry of the Windows operating system.

Select the All Programs command and expand the Accessories node.

Select the "System" item and go to the "Data Archiving" node.

Run NTbacup application (% SystemRoot% system32
tbackup.exe) b go to "Advanced Mode".

Use the "Archiving" tab of the opened application dialog box and select the System State element by clicking the left mouse button.

Specify the "Archive" command and use the "Advanced" option.

Uncheck the "Automatically back up protected system files with system state" checkbox to create a copy of the system registry only and go to the "Archive type" tab.

Apply the checkbox to the "Normal" field and confirm the execution of the command to create a backup copy of the system registry of the Windows operating system by clicking the "Back up" button.
