One of the advantages of OS Windows is the ability to work with documents in different languages. They are usually switched by a combination of hot keys Alt + Ctrl or Alt + Shift. You can change the layout in the tray. To do this, left-click on the language bar and select the required item from the list.

However, an unpleasant situation may arise: the hotkey combination does not work, and from the bcxtpkf tray there is a language bar. To restore it, click on the taskbar in the lower right corner of the monitor and in the "Toolbars" section of the context menu, check the "Language bar" item.

If this item is not available, go to Control Panel and expand the Regional and Language Options icon. In the "Languages" tab, click on the "Details" button. In the "Options" tab in the "Settings" section, click "Language bar" and check the box "Display language bar …" Click OK to confirm.

The Language Bar button may not be available. Then go to the "Additional" tab and uncheck the "Disable additional text services" item. Confirm by clicking OK. If the flag next to this item is not set, check it and click OK twice. Go to this bookmark again and now uncheck the box. Confirm by clicking OK.

If this method did not help, enter the ctfmon.exe command in the program launch window (called by the Win + R combination or by choosing the "Run" option in the "Start" menu) - it is responsible for displaying the language bar. Call this window again and write msconfig. In the system settings window, go to the "Startup" tab and select the ctfmon checkbox so that the command will run the next time the system boots.

If the command fails to run, check if the ctfmon.exe file is contained in the C: / Windows / system32 folder. If necessary, copy it from the installation disc or from another computer.

To select a different keyboard shortcut for changing the language, under Regional and Language Options, go to the Languages tab, click More Info and Keyboard Options. In the Advanced Options window, use the Change Keyboard Shortcut button to select a different hot combination.
