If you have a set of original icons, or you yourself know how to create icons from your photos and pictures, you need to be able to change the file icons. This is done in no time.
Necessary
Computer, file, icon file with Ico extension
Instructions
Step 1
Go to "Explorer". Click the "Tools" - "Folder Options" menu.
Step 2
In the new window go to the "File Types" tab. Wait for the download to complete. Highlight the type of files for which you want to change the icon and click the "Advanced" button.
Step 3
A new window will show the appearance of the real icon. Click the Change Icon … button. The Change Icon window appears, showing the standard Windows icons. Highlight the one you want and click "OK". If you are not satisfied with the standard options, click the Browse button and search your computer for a pre-built option for the icon. Confirm the action by pressing the "OK" button in all open windows.
