The ink in the printer tends to run out. To be able to use it again, you need to replace the cartridge, since without ink it is simply impossible to print. This is a simple action that will take you very little time. It will be more difficult to find a cartridge in a store if you have an older printer.
Instructions
Step 1
Purchase a cartridge of the correct model from a store and then install it in the printer. Next, start your personal computer and turn on the printer. It must function. Otherwise, it will be difficult to remove the depleted cartridge from it. In addition, you will need the printer software to adjust the ink control process. After about 10 seconds have passed since the printer was turned on, open its front cover.
Step 2
Note. After you open the cover, the printhead carriage should slide out. Don't touch it until it stops. This is necessary in order to insert the ink into the printer. Look closely, there are two cartridges in this carriage. One color ink cartridge, one black ink cartridge.
Step 3
Look at the taskbar on your personal computer monitor. When the ink runs out, the printer software tells you. See exactly which ink has run out. Remove the depleted cartridge. To do this, gently pull it towards you. Be very careful when removing the used cartridge, as ink residues may enter the printer.
Step 4
Take a new cartridge and install it into the vacant slot. When installing, use a minimum of force, it is not needed there. After the cartridge is secured, close the printer cover. The carriage with cartridges will automatically take the working position.
Step 5
Go to the printer software. Reset the ink maintenance sensor. Ink tanks will appear in the window. Select the one you replaced. Next to it, find the "Reset Data" button. This is necessary in order for the ink level sensor to reset the old values, automatically reboot and fix the new level. Otherwise, it will constantly signal that the ink is low.
