Windows has a specific set of fonts, but sometimes there are not enough samples from this set. When downloading a collection from the Internet, a user may think about where to put these fonts.
Font files are usually in.ttf and.tif formats. They are used by different applications. So, the fonts downloaded for the Adobe Photoshop program are displayed without problems in other graphic and text editors, and can also be used in the design of system elements. This is because, unlike other types of additional content, fonts are inserted into the system Fonts folder. If the collection you downloaded is zipped, unzip the archive. Press the Windows key or the Start button and open Control Panel from the menu. If it has a classic look, left-click on the "Fonts" icon. If the panel has a category view, open the Appearance and Themes category. In the left part of the window, click on the link "Fonts". A new window will open. Copy the font files downloaded from the Internet to the clipboard, go to the "Fonts" window and right-click in any free space. Select the "Paste" command from the context menu. Alternative option: in the top menu bar, select the "Edit" item and the "Paste" command, or use the Ctrl and V hotkeys. To view a particular font in the Fonts folder, left-click on it. A new dialog box will open, which contains information about the font (its name, file size, version, and so on), as well as an example of how to write text and numbers in the selected font. If necessary, you can print this sample by clicking on the "Print" button. To close the window, click on the "Close" button or on the [x] icon in the upper right corner of the window. After the font is loaded into the Fonts folder, launch the program and use the toolbar for working with fonts to select the style, format you need, size and color. Remember that in text editors the toolbar is almost always available immediately, but in graphics applications it must be called by pressing the T button.
