To insert audio tracks into a video clip, you must use special programs. To process files of a certain type, for example mkv, they usually use simple utilities that do not have a wide range of functions.

Instructions
Step 1
Adobe Premier is suitable for working with most file types. Its main advantage over its free counterparts is the ability to preserve high-quality video recording and the presence of a huge set of special effects. Install Adobe Premier.
Step 2
Start this editor. Open the File menu and select New Project. Now open the "Add" item and navigate to the desired video clip. Wait for the selected video to load into the project.
Step 3
Now add a music track to the content of the project. Open the View menu and select Show Render Bar. Move the video clip to the appropriate field. Add an audio track to the render bar.
Step 4
Change the location of the music track. To do this, move it to the desired position. Save the resulting project by pressing the keyboard shortcut Ctrl and S.
Step 5
This method has an obvious drawback: if the video file has already been endowed with an audio track, then you will observe the overlay of sounds. To avoid this error, preclean the clip from audio.
Step 6
Load the original video file, open the File menu and choose Save As. Now check the box next to “Save video only”. Specify a folder to place the received file. Open a new project and follow the procedures in steps 2, 3 and 4.
Step 7
For processing mkv containers it is much more convenient to use the mkvtoolnix utility. Install it and run the mmg.exe file. Load the desired video clip into the program.
Step 8
Delete unnecessary audio tracks by unchecking the corresponding items. Click the "Attach" button and select a sound file. Sometimes you want to start playing a track from a location other than the beginning of the clip. Open the "Options" tab and fill in the "Delay start" field. Specify a value in milliseconds. Save the resulting file by clicking the Run mkvmerge button.
