operating system installation disk

Instructions

Step 1

Take the disk with the operating system installation image. It comes with some computers, you can download it from the Internet, buy it from a software store. It doesn't matter what kind of disk you have and where. The main thing is that it is bootable and matches your system.

Step 2

Turn on your computer or restart if your PC is already running. After the reboot, as soon as the table of characteristics appears on the screen (which processor you have and how much memory), press the "Delete" or "F2" key several times to enter the BIOS, the main system of starting up and configuring the computer.

Step 3

Find the submenu that controls the boot order. It is impossible to specify the exact location of this menu, it is different for different models of motherboards and, moreover, for different manufacturers. Look for Boot Configuration and Boot Sequence. To enter a particular menu item, press "Enter", move using the arrow keys, and to select a value, press the "plus" and "minus" keys.

Step 4

When you find the menu you want, enter it. You will see a list of boot priorities. Usually it is Hard Drive, CD-rom, Removable device, LAN. These are, respectively, a hard disk, a laser disk drive, a USB flash drive and a boot from the network. Press the boot source selection key several times, so that the line with the name of the drive is at the very top of the list. This will install boot from disk. Press the F10 key on the keyboard, then all changes will be saved, and the computer will automatically restart.

Step 5

Insert your Windows boot disk into your drive if you haven't done so before. If everything is done on time, a blue screen of the operating system installer will appear. If the system starts to boot normally, just press the restart button. Read the messages from the installer and press the R key to start System Restore using the console.

Step 6

Press "Enter" when the monitor asks which copy of the system to enter - most likely, you have only one system on your computer, which is located on the C: drive.

Step 7

Enter the administrator password in the password box that appears on the screen. If you do not know this password, enter your username and password - most likely your account also has computer administrator rights. Ready. You are in the System Restore Console.
