There are times when a user works with files in several folders at once, and he needs to simultaneously see their contents, or an open window blocks access to the necessary shortcuts, or the work is going on on two monitors at once. Then the question of how to move windows on the desktop becomes relevant so that they do not block the view and interfere with each other.
Instructions
Step 1
Almost all program windows and folders can be changed or moved. The first thing you should pay attention to is the window display mode. Look in the upper right corner of the open folder window: there are three buttons: "Minimize", "Maximize" and "Close".
Step 2
Pay special attention to the middle "Expand" button. If you click on it, the window will occupy the entire desktop and you won't be able to do anything with it. To switch to another mode, press the middle button again, the caption to it will display another command - "Minimize to window".
Step 3
To move the window, move the cursor to the top edge of the selected folder, left-click and hold it down, drag the window to the area you need. Then release the mouse button. Keep in mind that the operation will always be performed for the active window, that is, for the window that is on top of the others.
Step 4
If the window is too large, you can make it smaller. To do this, move the cursor to any of the four corners of the window. Wait until the cursor turns into a diagonal double-headed arrow and press the left mouse button. Keeping it pressed, move the mouse in the appropriate direction until the window is at the desired size.
Step 5
You can also decrease (increase) the height or width of the selected window. To do this, move the cursor to the top (bottom) or side edge of the window and wait until the cursor turns into a vertical or horizontal arrow. Then hold down the left mouse button and proceed as described in the previous step.
Step 6
There are several ways to switch between windows: using the mouse or keyboard. In the first case, you just need to left-click on any visible fragment of the desired folder. In the second case, you should press the alt="Image" key and, while holding it, press the Tab key until the folder you need is highlighted.
