Follow the steps below to determine the type of processor and the amount of RAM. Click on "My Computer" with the right mouse button. Select Properties from the context menu. You can determine the model of the video card as follows. Click on an inactive area of the desktop with the right mouse button. Then select "Properties" if you have Windows XP, or screen extension if Windows 7. Then open the "Advanced Settings" tab. A window will appear where you can view information about your video card.

Another way to find out the basic configuration of a computer is as follows. Click Start. Then select "All Programs", then - "Standard". Select Command Prompt in standard programs. At the command prompt, enter dxdiag. A window will appear in which you can view the basic configuration of your PC.

The most complete information about the configuration of your computer can be viewed using special programs. Download from the Internet and install the AIDA64 Extreme Edition software on your computer.

Run the program. AIDA64 will take a few seconds to collect information about your system. After that, you will find yourself in the main menu of the program. In the right window of the main menu, select "Computer", then - "Summary information". After a few seconds, a window will open, which will contain almost comprehensive information about the configuration of your computer. The window will be divided into several sections, each of which will contain information on a specific component.
