Instructions

Step 1

In the first case, you will need the Partition Manager utility. Download it and install it on your computer. Restart it so that the program collects information about the connected hard drives and gains access to them. Start Partition Manager.

Step 2

In the shortcut menu that opens, select the "Advanced User Mode" item and wait for a new window to appear. Find the Wizards tab above the toolbar and open it. Hover your cursor over Advanced Features and select the Merge Sections option.

Step 3

In the menu that opens, click the "Next" button. Now click on the graphic image of the partition to which you want to attach the second local disk. Remember that the final drive will be assigned a drive letter for the partition you selected in this step. If the system local disk participates in the connection process, then be sure to select it. Otherwise, the system will stop loading. Click "Next".

Step 4

Click on the graphic image of the second logical disk participating in the merge. In the "Folder name" field, enter the name of the directory where all data stored on the selected partition will be saved. Click "Next". Check if the specified parameters are correct and click the "Next" button again. In the next window, click the "Finish" button to complete the preliminary preparation.

Step 5

In the working window of the program, find and open the "Changes" tab. Click on the "Apply changes" item. After a new window appears, select "Restart now". Partition Manager will continue to connect partitions after reboot. All further operations will be performed in MS-DOS mode. Restart your computer after the program has finished running and check if the operation is completed correctly.
