Step 1
The thing is that anti-virus programs have self-defense tools that do not allow making any changes to the program itself. Therefore, first of all, disable self-defense. How to do it? Enter the main application window, for example, Kaspersky Anti-Virus, and select the "Settings" tab. In the window that opens, you will see the "Enable protection" command, next to which there is a checkbox. Remove it by clicking the left mouse button. The program will warn you that you should not do this, as your computer will be at risk. Never mind.

Now turn off the Kaspersky application. To completely disable the anti-virus program, find the program icon on the taskbar. It is usually located in the lower left corner. Click on the icon with the right mouse button. A pop-up window will appear where you select the "Exit" command.
Step 3
Now you can start disabling activation. Open the main program window again and go to the "License" tab. In the window that opens, you will see a line with a key. There is a cross to the right of it to remove the key. Click on it. By this action you have deleted the old key. Activation is now disabled. You can either uninstall the program completely and install new anti-virus software on your personal computer, or enter a new key for a later version of Kaspersky.

Disabling activation on a personal computer is not difficult. Basically, activation refers to the registration of a product. The fastest way to activate is by entering the registration code, but it costs money as the software developers make money from it. If you need the program in the future, it is better to activate the program for a fee.
