Many video files are split into separate elements for burning to DVD discs or streaming over a network. The problem is that it is not always convenient to store and, moreover, transfer a large number of fragments. In such cases, the fragment gluing process is used.

Necessary

  • - VirtualDub;
  • - Total Video Converter;
  • - Adobe Premier.

Instructions

Step 1

The free utility VirtualDub is suitable for working with avi files. Download this program and install it. Start VirtualDub.

Step 2

Open the File menu and select Open Video File. Wait for the specified fragment to be loaded into the program. Now open the File menu again.

Step 3

Select "Add AVI Segment". After loading the second item, press the Ctrl + S keys. Select the folder to save the whole video file and enter its name. Press the Ok button and wait until the fragments are connected.

Step 4

If you need to change the file format before connecting, use Total Video Converter. Run this utility.

Step 5

Click the New Task button and navigate to Import File. Specify the path to the first segment of the video. Now choose the format into which this file will be converted. Move the slider to High Quality to keep the image quality high.

Step 6

Repeat this algorithm to load the second item. Use the same format you chose for the first file. Check the box next to Combine Files after Convert.

Step 7

Check the specified processing options for the elements and click the Convert Now button. Wait while the utility performs the required operations.

Step 8

Use Adobe Premier to join two video files of different types without conversion. Run it and open the "File" tab. Click the Add button and select the first snippet. Add the second video file in the same way.

Step 9

Now, in the "File" tab, select the "Save" item, specify the parameters of the final video and click the Ok button.
