Also, thanks to the development of third generation mobile networks, which make it possible to use high-speed mobile Internet, the Skype service can be used on the road using a regular laptop. The only device you need to connect to chat on Skype is a headset.

Step 1
A Skype headset is a headset with a microphone. Moreover, for greater convenience, the microphone is integrated into the headset. There are two wires from the headset: green - for connecting headphones and pink - for connecting a microphone. Accordingly, to connect a headset, insert these plugs into the desired interfaces on the motherboard. The interfaces for connection are located on the rear panel of the system unit, although on some computer cases they may also be on the front.
Step 2
Besides wired headsets, there are also wireless Bluetooth headsets. They are much more convenient, since in addition to the lack of wires, you can safely leave your computer if necessary.
Step 3
A USB transmitter is included with the wireless headset. Plug this transmitter into a free USB port on your computer. Wireless headsets are equipped with power buttons. When the USB transmitter is inserted into the computer, turn on the headphones. After that, the system should automatically recognize the new connected equipment. A window with the notification "The device is connected and ready to work" should appear. If your wireless headset comes with drivers with additional software, install them as well.
Step 4
There are situations when the microphone does not work. To fix this problem, right-click on the speaker icon on the operating system taskbar and select Recorder from the context menu. Then select the "Recording" tab. A window with additional recording parameters will appear. Check the box next to the microphone.
Step 5
Additional headset operating parameters can be configured in the Skype menu. There is also a test with which you can automatically configure the operation of the connected headset.
