Step 1
For quick and correct execution of such an element as a crossword puzzle, it is recommended to use MS Word 2007 or newer. With the editor window open, go to the Page Layout tab. To place the required number of cells, click on the "Margins" button and set the minimum value by selecting the "Narrow" option.
Step 2
Now you can create a table that will fit all the words of your future crossword puzzle. Draw the table yourself, or create it using the automatic Table tool on the Insert tab. In the "Insert Table" panel, specify the required number of rows and columns. It is recommended to create a crossword puzzle based on a sketch created in advance on paper, so you can save a lot of your time.

Format the resulting table: select a row or column and delete them via the context menu. Now the sample crossword puzzle is ready, save it so as not to re-construct this table. You can save it as a template, for this click on the button with the Office logo, select the "Save As" item, then click on the "Word Template" item. In the window that opens, specify the file name, storage directory and click the save button.
Step 4
Insert the answers to your questions into the empty cells, and fill in the empty cells with any color, preferably any shade of gray, so as not to pay attention to it. Select unnecessary cells and select Borders and Fill from the context menu. After choosing a color, click OK to close the window.
Step 5
Just below the table with a crossword puzzle, the cells of which should be cleared of correct answers, place a list of questions. Questions should be asked horizontally first, then vertically. Now you can start printing your work.
Step 6
For ease of printing, it is recommended to place a crossword puzzle with questions on one sheet. Try to reduce the size of the table by clicking on it and dragging with the left mouse button on the small empty square in the lower right corner. It is also recommended to reduce the font or change it to one that will fill more of the empty space than the previous one.
Step 7
It also happens that the crossword puzzle significantly exceeds the size of the sheet, even changing the borders of the document, as well as its indents, does not help. In this case, it is best to place some of the text on another sheet. To save paper, you can print a sheet on both sides, but as a rule, it is quite inconvenient to constantly turn the sheet over.
