The main tools for creating inscriptions in Photoshop are the Type tools. You can change the already entered text by adjusting the parameters in the Character palette, using the Warp Text option, or transforming the path along which the inscription was made.

Instructions
Step 1
After opening in Photoshop the picture to which you want to add an inscription, turn on the Horizontal Type tool. Select Vertical Type if you are going to label vertically. Use the Character option on the Window menu to open the text settings palette.

From the list in the upper area of the palette, select the font that will be used for the inscription. In the field below the list, adjust the font size. Specify the color of the caption in the Color field. Click on the area of the background image, over which the text should be located, and enter the caption using the keyboard.
Step 3
The finished text can be transformed using the Warp Text option in the Type group of the Layer menu. Select a curvature style for the caption from the Style drop-down list and use the Bend slider to adjust the amount of curvature for the text. In the same window, by changing the value of the Vertical Distortion parameter, you can adjust the vertical deformation. The Horizontal Distortion parameter adjusts the horizontal distortion of the label.
Step 4
Text in Photoshop that has not been warped is positioned along a straight vertical or horizontal line. However, this can be changed by writing along the path created using the Shape tools or Pen in Paths mode.
Step 5
The Rectangle tool is designed to draw rectangular paths, using the Rounded Rectangle, you will get a rectangle with rounded corners. With the help of Ellipse you can create an oval outline, Polygon will create a polygon, and Custom Shape - any shape that you select from the Shape list in the panel under the main menu of the program. With the Pen tools, you can draw an arbitrary closed or open path.
Step 6
To create an inscription going along the path, turn on the Horizontal Type and click on the path at the point from which the text will begin. Type the text on the keyboard or copy it from a text editor open in another window and paste it into Photoshop.
Step 7
If necessary, the path along which the text runs can be transformed. For this, turn on the Direct Selection tool and move one or more anchor points of the path with it. When you change the outline, the text along it will adjust to the new shape.
Step 8
You can save the picture with the caption using the Save As option of the File menu. By choosing the psd format, you can edit the inscription made at any time. To view and upload to the Internet, save the image with the text to a.jpg"
