Step 1
If you are using the popular and familiar Windows XP, then to set up an administrator account, start the computer and press the Ctrl + Al + Delete keys twice in the welcome screen. The authorization and login panel will open. You need to log in under the Administrator account, so enter the name "Administrator" in the "Username" line, and if you specified a password when installing the system, then enter the password. If you have not used a password, Windows will start without a password and you do not need to enter anything.

If you are using Windows Vista, the login system will change slightly. Unlike Windiws XP, here you will have to take additional steps to activate the Administrator account, otherwise it will be absent for better security. Click on the Win + R keys or go to Start and click Run. Then enter the phrase: control userpassword2 in the line that appears. A window for managing passwords and accounts will open. Open the "Advanced" section, you will see a section with a description of the list of users. Go to this list and click on the Administrator label. You will see the phrase "Disable account" with a check mark next to it. This checkbox must be unchecked in order for the administrator account to be activated. Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
