Installing Windows from a USB stick is very convenient. Storing Windows on a flash drive is much more reliable than storing it on a disk. Installing from a USB stick will also be faster than installing from a disk. There are times when the computer does not work or there is simply no optical drive (DVD / CD) ROM. Then installing from a flash drive is a very good way out of the situation. If you need to reinstall Windows on a laptop, somewhere on the road, it will be more convenient to do this from a flash drive.
It is necessary
Computer, Windows OS, USB flash drive, UltraISO program, DAEMON Tools program, Internet access
Instructions
Step 1
First of all, you need to burn Windows to a flash drive. The capacity of the flash drive must be at least 4 gigabytes. Download the version of Windows you need from the Internet. The operating system downloaded from the Internet is in ISO format (virtual disk image). Then download the UltraISO program. It will be required in order to make the USB flash drive bootable.
Step 2
Open the Windows image with UltraISO. Go to the "Boot" menu and select "Burn hard disk image". Creating a bootable USB flash drive will destroy all information stored on it. Consider this. Insert the flash drive into your computer. The flash drive will appear in the program menu, select it. Select "USB-HDD" as the recording type and click "Burn". The recording process will last from 10 to 25 minutes. At the end, you will be informed that the process has been successfully completed.
Step 3
Restart your computer and press the DEL key continuously. This will take you to the BIOS. Select the line "BOOT", then in the line "BOOT DEVISE PRORITY" select "USB-HDD". Click on the "Save end Exit" command.
Step 4
The computer restarts and the Windows installation process begins from the flash drive. If you do not want to install Windows at this very moment, simply remove the USB flash drive from the computer. In order to start the installation process, you just need to insert the USB flash drive into the USB port before turning on the computer.
Step 5
If you do not want to download Windows from the Internet, and it is already on the disk, you need to convert it to ISO format. Download and install DAEMON Tools program. Insert the DAEMON Tools CD into your computer's drive. In DAEMON Tools select the File menu, select Create New Image. After completing the process, you will have Windows in ISO format, which you can write to a USB flash drive and install Windows from it as described above.
