The Windows 7 operating system has a variety of styles available, ranging from some older skins to the newer Aero themes. A style in Windows 7 includes components such as the color of the windows, the desktop background, the splash screen, and the sound scheme that is applied in conjunction with the appearance. All of this together is also called a theme.

a computer with Windows 7 installed
Instructions
Step 1
To change the entire theme or any of its components, in Windows 7 you need to open the "Personalization" section. It is accessible from the Control Panel, which can be opened through the Start menu. Another option to access the appearance settings is to right-click on the desktop and select Personalization from the menu that opens.
Step 2
In the Personalization menu, you will see a list of themes. To apply the selected design, just click on it with the mouse.
Step 3
Themes in Windows 7 are presented in several categories. The topmost ones are “My Topics”. These are the styles that you created and saved yourself. If you make changes to an existing theme and did not save it as a separate style, then those changes appear as "Unsaved Theme". There are also Installed Themes - these are those that have already been included in the operating system by your computer manufacturer or its developers. Basic simplified themes are a legacy of the past and are designed to improve the performance of a less powerful computer.
Step 4
Aero themes are located separately in the settings. This is a new design for Windows 7 that includes transparency effects and also displays some elements in a glass style (Aero Glass effect). As a background, you can set several pictures, which will change one after another. Aero Styles are not available in all versions of Windows 7, but only in Enterprise, Professional, Ultimate, and Home Premium. To find out if you can use Aero themes, open Control Panel, select System. There, on the very first tab that opens, the version of Windows 7 used on your computer is indicated.
Step 5
You can change not the entire Windows 7 style, but only some of its elements. In the Personalization menu, you can change items such as the desktop background. You can install one image, or you can set a collection of slides. The color of the window is also available for change, transparency, brightness and the tone itself are adjusted. You can use the built-in sound schemes or create your own, you can completely turn off sounds. The splash screen used is also configured.
