Step 1
Renew the license for your Windows 7 operating system with a license key. It can be found on the system disk. If the key has expired, then you need to purchase a new key. To do this, go to the official Microsoft website and purchase a key.
Step 2
To activate Windows 7 via the Internet, click the "Start" button, then right-click on the "Computer" section, in the window that opens, select "Properties", then "Activate Windows". If the operating system was able to find an Internet connection, select the "Activate Windows over the Internet" option. When prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, enter the password or confirm it. Specify your key in the next window, click on the "Next" button and follow the further instructions of the wizard.
Step 3
Activate the product by phone to renew the Windows 7 license. Open the activation wizard, for this in the properties of "My computer" select the option "Activate", then click on the item "Other activation methods".
Step 4
In the next window, specify your key, click on the "Next" button. Select the Use the automatic telephone system option. If necessary, confirm or enter the administrator password.
Step 5
Select the location closest to you from the drop-down list, click Next. Dial one of the available numbers that are listed. Next, use the telephone keypad to enter the installation ID that is displayed on the screen.
Step 6
Make a note of the confirmation identifier provided by the telephone system, enter it in the field that is located in the third section of the activation window, click "Next", follow the instructions of the wizard.
