While working on the Internet, the user may accidentally close the browser or will be forced to do this in case of errors. In order not to search for previously opened tabs when you start the browser again, you can restore the previous session in Mozilla Firefox.

Instructions

Step 1

The latest versions of the Mozilla Firefox app no longer prompt you to save windows and tabs, so you need to configure your browser. Launch your browser and select Options from the Tools menu. A new dialog box will open.

Step 2

Go to the tab "Privacy". In the "History" group, use the drop-down list to set the "Will remember history" value in the Firefox field. Save these settings by clicking on the OK button in the lower right corner of the window.

Step 3

In a situation where the session is unexpectedly terminated, restart your Internet browser. In the "History" menu, select the "Restore previous session" command by clicking on it with the left mouse button. All tabs that were active during the emergency closing of the browser window will be loaded.

Step 4

Using the "Restore previous session" option, keep in mind one caveat: if you close all open tabs in sequence, and then the browser window, only one tab will be restored (the one that remained active at the time of exiting the program). To prevent this from happening, close the browser either with the [x] button in the upper right corner of the window, or with the "Exit" command from the "File" menu, and not separate windows and tabs.

Step 5

If, when starting the browser, you open the pre-installed Firefox home page, and not the one that you assigned yourself, the program window may also have the option "Restore previous session". Click on the button with this command and wait until the previously opened tabs are restored. If the interface is in English, the button will say Restore Previous Session.

Step 6

To change the assigned home page to the preset one, in the "Tools" menu, select "Settings", in the dialog box that appears, open the "General" tab. Click on the "Restore to defaults" button in the "Start" group and apply the new settings with the OK button.
