Replacing the background in a photo can be an interesting solution. There are many ways to do this. This technique compares favorably with most. Firstly, it is very easy to replace the background in the photo with it. Secondly, it allows you to replace the background of the image completely or only part of it. Thirdly, using this technique, you can combine both backgrounds into a single whole, and this, you see, gives great opportunities for creativity.
It is necessary
Tools: Adobe Photoshop 7 or higher
Instructions
Step 1
First you have to find the background that you want to see in the photo. If the background is found, open it and also open the original photo. In most graphic and text editors, these documents are opened in the "File" menu by clicking "Open" (Ctrl + O).
Step 2
Each image will open in a separate window. The last opened file (the original photo with a person or object) will be active. Click in the menu "Select" - "All", and then in "Edit" - "Copy". Photo in memory - you can close it.
Step 3
Paste the copied photo into your document. To do this, select "Edit" in the top menu, and then "Paste". You can use the "hot keys" - Ctrl + V. The top silhouette layer is now positioned above the selected background. If the photos do not match in size, select the top photo ("Select" - "All") and transform it to the desired size ("Edit" - "Free Transform"). As a result, the top photo will completely cover the photo with the background.
Step 4
Choose a medium sized eraser and start erasing the background of the top layer. As you erase, the bottom layer will bleed through the top. When all the background in the photo above has been removed, you will see a silhouette or object in front of the new background.
Step 5
With this technique, it is easy enough to replace only part of the background, or to merge both backgrounds. To do this, first adjust the parameters of the eraser tool: opacity and pressure should be within 10-15%. Start erasing the background. Now the background will not be removed all at once, but will gradually become thinner and more transparent. If both photographs have approximately the same background environment (greenery, beach and sea, city, etc.), you can achieve very interesting results. In the same way, more than two backgrounds can be combined.
