Step 1

Turn off the laptop, unplug it, remove the battery, as well as all external devices: printer cables, scanner, mouse, Bluetooth adapter, etc. Close the laptop lid, lay it face down so you can access the underside of the laptop.

Step 2

Unscrew all connecting screws using the "+" screwdriver. Remove the RAM, hard drive, CD / DVD drive from the laptop case.

Turn the laptop over, facing the front of the laptop up. Lift the bracket that is just above the keyboard, unscrew all the screws, carefully pull out the keyboard, disconnect the ribbon cable that connects the motherboard to the keyboard.

Step 4

Remove any cables from the connections that might interfere with removing the motherboard. Remove all screws that hold the laptop screen, detach the laptop cover from the case. Now you can start removing the motherboard. Use a thin screwdriver to gently pry the system card on several sides to avoid breaking the slots.

Step 5

Take a new motherboard, insert it into the laptop case. Perform all the steps described above in reverse order. When turning on the laptop, press the F1 button. this will be the first startup of the motherboard in your laptop.
