In order to ensure the ability to work with all devices, modern operating systems implement the concept of drivers. Drivers are modules that have a unified software interface, but implement their own logic for working with a specific device. As a rule, the manufacturer supplies drivers for their products. Also, distributions of operating systems contain a large number of drivers for typical devices. These drivers are automatically installed during system installation. However, devices with such drivers may not work correctly. In this case, you need to remove or replace the driver. For example, it is often necessary to remove the default sound drivers in order to later install the driver from the sound card manufacturer.
