Terminal Service allows remote computers to access applications running on the server. Terminal Services Start is available in Windows Server. The service itself has three components that must be configured sequentially: server, messaging, and client.
It is necessary
a computer with Windows Server installed
Instructions
Step 1
Terminal Services is activated directly on the server itself under the network administrator account. Go to "Start" - "Control Panel". Select "Add or remove programs", click on the "Add and remove components" button.
Step 2
Wait until the Component Management Wizard starts. In the list of available items, check the box next to the "Terminal Service" item, click on the "Next" button.
Step 3
In the next window, you need to select the type of service. With remote administration, only two connections to the server are allowed at the same time, and access is open to users who are members of the Administrators group. In the "Application Server" mode, more than 2 connections can be made simultaneously, but the licensing service must be installed on the domain controller.
Step 4
Select the required permissions option for the server clients. If you selected application server mode, specify whether the license server should serve the entire domain, or if it will serve the entire organization. After all the parameters have been applied, click “Finish”, wait until the file copying procedure is completed. Restart your computer, go to the Services menu and check the Terminal Services status. If the setup is successful, the status bar will say "Running".
