Step 1
Download Dekart Key Manager software from the developer's official website at https://www.dekart.com/. The program is paid, so in the Download section of the site, download will be available only for registered users. Register on the website by entering your basic data and email address.
Step 2
Install the program on your hard drive. As a rule, such software is always installed on the root system drive of the hard drive. Run the program by double-clicking on the start file with the application icon. The main window of the program is divided into three areas: at the top there is a menu with controls, on the left - the media manager, on the right - information about the selected media.
Step 3
Connect the usb media to your computer. Select the USB flash drive in the left part of the Dekart Key Manager window. You can use flash drives with a small volume, or you can connect special external hard drives. Create a copy of the key using the Save menu item. Save a copy in a special directory on your hard drive, so as not to forget and not delete accidentally written information.
Step 4
Create a copy of the key on a new medium by connecting the USB flash drive to the computer and selecting the appropriate item from the Edit menu. You can also set a PIN for the carrier or change it. You can view the contents of the USB key media using the Dekart Key Manager program. You should not delete the contents of the flash drive without making sure that the created copy of the key works. Try to keep copies of all important information on multiple media, as viruses can get into a personal computer and infect or delete all information from hard drives.
