Flash drives are increasingly being introduced into our lives. Small and convenient, in the form of key chains or imitations of other objects (in the form of bulbs and lips, folding knives and funny figures), they have become an integral part of our life. In order not to lose data, you need to make copies of flash drives.

Step 1
Surely every user had a situation in his life when he tried to throw off a large file (HD movie, for example) from his computer, but he could not transfer even a 5 GB file to an 8 GB flash drive. Imagine the bewilderment of a person who does not fit 7 liters in a 10 liter bucket.
Step 2
The same situation occurs with a person who bought his first flash drive and is unfamiliar with the FAT 32 file system, which simply cannot save a file larger than 4 GB on the flash drive. It is also worth noting that this system must be formatted to NTFS.
Step 3
This should be done with caution, as formatting erases all data. It's good if you chose "fast" formatting, when only the partition table is changed. With the help of special programs, you can try to restore the data previously located on the flash drive.
Step 4
In any case, you should periodically back up all the contents of your flash drive. In Windows 7, in the "My Computer" menu, right-click on the "Removable Disk" icon corresponding to your USB flash drive. In the context menu that opens, left-click "Copy", then right-click the folder or logical drive where you want to save data from the flash drive. Then click "Paste" with the left mouse button.
Step 5
A bar should appear showing the progress of copying files. If the strip does not appear, then you did something wrong or the size of the copied files was small, and it simply did not have time to appear. To check, go to the folder where you copied the contents of the flash drive and check if there is information there. And remember to make backups all the time. Only then will you be able to protect yourself from at least part of the grief associated with the loss of information.
