Instructions

Step 1

Read the instructions for your mobile device. This is necessary in order to choose the right Wi-Fi router (router) for work. They must be compatible with your computer.

Step 2

Choose a Wi-Fi router for yourself in accordance with the specification indicated in the instruction manual of your laptop, tablet, netbook, etc. See the section of the manual "Wireless", "Internet access" or "Wireless adapters".

Step 3

Install the Wi-Fi router according to the instructions supplied with the device. Connect it to the mains.

Step 4

Connect your existing Internet cable to the WAN (DSL) or Internet (depending on the router model) connector. The indicated connectors are located on the body of the device. Turn on your computer. Connect the network card of the device to the router by inserting the appropriate cable into the Ethernet (LAN) connector on the Wi-Fi router.

Step 5

Launch your browser. Open the instructions for the purchased equipment and find the IP address of the Wi-Fi router there. Enter this address in your browser in the web address input field. Wait until the device is logged into the web interface and select the Internet Setup menu.

Step 6

Fill in all the necessary items of this menu, indicating without fail your username and password, which the provider provided to you for authorization in the network. Enable NAT and DHCP functions. Save all changes.

Step 7

Proceed to create your own Wi-Fi hotspot. Go to the Wireless Setup menu. Set the name (SSID) and password (password) of your wireless access point. Choose from the offered list of data encryption types the one that meets the requirements of your laptop or other mobile device.

Step 8

Save the specified parameters by clicking on the OK or "Save" button (depending on the software). Restart the Wi-Fi router by pressing the corresponding button on the device panel, or by turning off the router from the mains (depending on the model). Turn the device on.

Step 9

Open the list of available wireless networks on your laptop, netbook, or other mobile device. Select the hotspot you created.
