Instructions
Step 1
At first glance, this is not so important: there are numbers on the second line of the keyboard. And they can be used as usual. But sometimes this arrangement is inconvenient. Especially if a person on duty has to work a lot with numbers and make various calculations on a calculator. In this case, the right special section of the NumPad keyboard comes to the rescue. Finding its location on a standard external keyboard is easy. The laptop panel is the problem. Although there is a way out in this situation.
Step 2
For this, for example, you can use a regular keyboard by connecting it to a laptop via a USB connector. After connecting the device, the computer will automatically install the necessary drivers, and you can start working.
Step 3
You can also purchase a special panel Num Pad, to find which you will need to visit computer stores. And then, having chosen the suitable model for yourself, connect it to the laptop via the USB port.
Step 4
And you can do without all the listed devices and create a digital Num Pad only using the available keys. Try switching the layout by pressing the Fn buttons (located in the lower left corner) and F11 on the top line at the same time. However, sometimes F11 may not work, depending on the laptop model and its manufacturer. Then you should try pressing Fn + NumLk. After you enter the Num Pad mode, the corresponding warning icon will appear on the screen about changing the set of numbers.
Step 5
You can check if the special commands for switching to the Num Pad panel are in effect using the keyboard. To do this, press one of the keys: "J", "K", "L", U "," I "," O "and several others. If you print numbers instead of letters - complete order. After all, this is exactly what was required. To disable Num Pad mode, you will also need to use the Fn + NumLk (or Fn + F11) keys.
Step 6
Optionally, you can create a virtual on-screen keyboard that can be invoked in several ways. In the first, you need to go to the "Standard" section from the "Start" menu. Then find "Accessibility" and select "On-screen keyboard". In the second - from the "Start" menu go to the "Run" function and enter osk in the field.
