Local networks are usually created to access shared resources, to provide synchronous Internet access, and to configure public printers. To create a LAN network yourself, you need to take into account several nuances.

Instructions
Step 1
To build and configure a more or less large local network, you need a network hub. If you plan to provide all devices with Internet access, then it is recommended to use a router. Purchase the required equipment.
Step 2
To create a LAN network, you can do without a router without supporting a Wi-Fi channel. Connect this equipment to AC power. Turn on the router.
Step 3
Connect the Internet connection cable provided by your ISP to the Internet (DSL, WAN) channel of the router. Locate the LAN (Ethernet) port on the device. Connect it to any computer.
Step 4
Turn on this PC and launch the browser. Read the user manual for your router and find the original IP address of this device. Enter its value into the address bar of your browser.
Step 5
The web-based interface of the router settings will open in front of you. Go to the WAN menu (Internet Setup Settings). Change the parameters of some items of this menu to provide the router with communication with the provider's server. Do not forget to enter the required username and password and activate the NAT function, if supported by your router model.
Step 6
Reboot your router. Repeat the procedure to enter the device settings menu. Make sure the connection to the server is established. Check for Internet access on the computer connected to the router.
Step 7
Connect other stationary computers to the router via LAN (Ethernet) channels using network cables. In the event that the number of computers exceeds the number of the above-mentioned channels, then use a network hub to connect multiple PCs to one port. Make sure that all computers have access to the Internet.
