After the long-awaited purchase of the iPad 2 and turning it on, you need to properly activate the device. Your Apple product won't work without activation, so it's important to know how to follow this procedure correctly.

Instructions
Step 1
Download and install on the computer that you will use in the future to activate iPad 2, a program from Apple called iTunes. It can be found on the official website of the company (apple.com) by going to the section with the same name. Installing the utility will take a little time. After successful completion, restart your computer. While the PC is turning on, prepare your gadget for activation.
Step 2
Turn on iPad 2 by holding the button on the top of the device panel for 2-3 seconds. The screen will display a welcome message in different languages. Here, the gadget will offer you to choose the language of "communication" - select Russian, so that it is more convenient to perform the settings (later the language can be changed). Next, the device will prompt you to connect geolocation. This parameter, if positive, will allow the device to determine your location. However, the function consumes a lot of energy from the battery, as it constantly works with the Internet. Click the next button to proceed to the activation itself.
Step 3
Take the USB cable from iPad 2 and connect one side to your PC and the other to your device. This adapter is a mandatory piece of equipment. If you do not find it in the box, contact the seller for a warranty card or sales receipt. If your cable is not damaged, iTunes will automatically start on the computer after connecting and show the device it detected - iPad 2.
Step 4
If activation does not start automatically, click on the device and click the "Next" button on the welcome page. Read the license agreement and, if you agree with it, put a tick in the appropriate paragraph. By clicking the "Next" button, you will start the activation process. As a result, a message will appear in iTunes about the successful registration of the device in the system.
Step 5
Disconnect iPad 2 and finish setting up the gadget by agreeing to the rules of operation and setting up sending error messages to Apple Center. Once your device has successfully started up, create an Apple ID account in the general settings menu.
