When purchasing an iPad 3, many are perplexed as to why their device does not boot in full-fledged mode the first time it is turned on. The answer is very simple - any gadget from Apple must be activated before you can start working with it.
Instructions
Step 1
Press the power button on the new iPad 3. After loading, the screen will display the image of the cable and the iTunes icon. To start setting, slide the slider at the bottom of the screen to the right. The gadget will prompt you to select the language in which you prefer to "communicate" with it, and the region in which you are at the time of activation. Check the items that apply to you.
Step 2
You can activate iPad 3 in a simple way by connecting to a wireless Wi-Fi network or 3G (if the device supports this extension). If you have free Internet access from your gadget, then in the next step, connect to the network. The first thing that will ask you to configure the iPad, geolocation, i.e. automatic detection of your location. It is not hard to guess that such a function will allow you to use your Apple device as a GPS navigator. You can connect this setting after activation.
Step 3
Read and agree to be bound by the terms of the license agreement. Configure error reporting to Apple Support. On the next page, you will be asked to register an Apple ID - a single identifier that allows you to work in Apple applications. If you have one, click the "Skip" button. Otherwise, it is recommended to register the iPad with this system.
Step 4
Select the type of activation. You can activate your iPad as a new device, or restore data from a backup of another device saved in your personal iCloud account. At the end of the activation procedure, the button "Start using the device" will appear on the screen, click on it. Your device is now fully functional!
Step 5
If at the time of activation of iPad 3 you do not have Internet access from your device, activate it through iTunes on your computer. To do this, you will need the cable that came with the iPad and the utility itself installed on the computer. After connecting the cable, follow the instructions that will be displayed in the program. Please note that the computer itself must be connected to the Internet.
