It is necessary for every user to see the characteristics of his computer. When it is required to diagnose the operability of individual components, one cannot do without information about the models of installed devices. To do this, you can use both special programs and built-in Windows tools.

Step 1
The easiest and fastest way to see the characteristics of your computer is to use standard Windows programs. So, to find out the processor model and the amount of installed RAM, right-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties". In the window that appears, you will see this information, as well as the version of the operating system and other data.
Step 2
You can see the characteristics of your computer in more detail by going to the Device Manager through the Control Panel. A tree-like list of installed devices will open in front of you. Expanding each sub-item, you will see which components belong to it. Going into the properties of devices, you can see the characteristics of each of them. However, the search for the properties of the required part often takes a long time due to some inconvenience in presenting information, as well as its incompleteness.
Step 3
There are special programs that allow you to see the characteristics of your computer. They are widely known and popular. These include, for example, SiSoft Sandra, Lavasys Everest, PC Wizard, HWiNFO32. Some of them are paid, some are not. It is not difficult to find their distributions on the Internet. We will consider further actions using the example of Lavasys Everest.
Step 4
After installing and launching the program, you will see the main window, divided into two main fields of information. On the left is a grouped list of devices, on the right is detailed information about each device. For example, you need to find out the model of the installed RAM. To do this, on the left side, open the "Motherboard" menu and select the "SPD" parameter. On the right side of the window, you will see a detailed description of the installed memory modules. Information on each device is searched in a similar way.
