Artwork is automatically added to music files in Windows Media Player. If for some reason this did not happen, you can add covers manually. No special knowledge or hacking skills required!
Instructions
Step 1
Launch Windows Media Player and connect to the Internet to add artwork to a music file from the online database.
Step 2
Go to the "Library" tab and call the context menu of the album to be edited.
Step 3
Select "Find Album Information".
Step 4
Change the program settings if an error message appears with a recommendation to edit the privacy settings to a level that allows you to update the multimedia information. To do this, select the "Options" item in the "Tools" menu of the upper toolbar of the program window and go to the "Privacy" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 5
Apply the checkbox next to "Update music files using information from the Internet" and repeat the above procedure.
Step 6
Provide the correct information in the search results list and follow the recommendations on the page for automatic updates, or change your search terms if you cannot get the required data.
Step 7
Return to the "Library" section and specify the file to add a cover to use the selected image as the cover when the search results cannot be used.
Step 8
Call the context menu of the selected image by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Copy" command.
Step 9
Call the context menu of the file to be edited by clicking the right mouse button and select the "Insert album cover" item.
