Step 1
To connect two computers without using cables, you need Wi-Fi adapters. These devices are connected either to the PCI port located on the computer motherboard or to the USB connector. Purchase two similar Wi-Fi adapters. Note: you can use different adapters, as a general rule - they must work with the same radio signals.
Step 2
Connect these devices to computers. Please note that the setting of this equipment does not depend on its type of connection. Install software and drivers for adapters.

Choose any computer. Open the control panel and go to the "Network and Internet" menu. Open the Network and Sharing Center menu. In the left column, find the item "Wireless Network Management" and navigate to it.

Click the "Add" button located at the top of the window that opens. Click on the item "Create a computer-to-computer network". Click "Next".

Enter the name (SSID) of the network, select the type of security (it is better to use WPA or WPA2-PSK) and create a password to access the network. Activate the item "Save the parameters of this network". Click "Next".

Go to the second computer. Activate the search for available wireless networks. Connect to your network.

If you need to distribute the Internet from one computer to another, then open the properties of the Internet connection. Go to the "Access" tab. Check the box next to "Allow other computers on the network to use …" In the next line, specify your wireless connection.
Step 8
Look for TCP / IP in the wireless adapter settings of the other computer. Find the lines "Default Gateway" and "Preferred DNS Server". Fill them in with the IP address of the first computer. Assign a static IP for this adapter, which differs from the address of the first PC only in the last segment.
