Windows text input services are very extensive, allowing you to enter text in almost any language, even taking into account the writing from right to left and hieroglyphs.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel" - the Windows Control Panel will open.
Step 2
If you have turned on the classic mode of displaying tools, find there the item "Regional and Language Standards" and double-click on it with the left mouse button. If you have enabled the mode of displaying icons (tools) by category, select the category "Date, time, language and regional standards" by clicking on it with the left mouse button, and then select "Language and regional standards".
Step 3
In the Regional and Language Options window that opens, go to the Languages tab in the Additional Language Support section, check both boxes next to Install support for languages with right-to-left and complex writing (including Thai) and Install support for languages with writing hieroglyphs.
Step 4
The system will ask you to insert the Windows XP disc into the drive. Insert the disc into the drive and click "OK" (pre-specify the path to the disc to the program if it has incorrectly determined it).
Step 5
After the system has installed all the necessary files from the disk, restart the computer for them to take effect.
Step 6
Now right-click on the language bar near the system tray (where the clock is located) and select "Options …" from the context menu. In the "Languages and text input services" window that opens, on the "Options" tab, click the "Add" button next to the list of installed services.
Step 7
Now, in the "Add input language" window that appears, select the Chinese language from the list and confirm the addition by clicking on the "OK" button. Chinese will now appear in the list of installed services. Click on the "Apply" button to apply the changes and continue working with the settings, or click on the "OK" button to apply the settings and close the current window.
