Taking a screenshot of a computer, often referred to simply as a screenshot, is a convenient way to save information. In order to create it, there is a special key on the keyboard.

A screenshot is an accurate screenshot of the user's computer screen that reflects his current state at the time the screenshot was taken. Thus, all windows open at this moment, the current time and other elements present on the screen will be fixed on it.

So, having saved a screenshot as a picture, you can send it to a friend or colleague by e-mail or using one of the popular instant messengers to share an interesting picture or text. Also, a screenshot is often used within the framework of remote system administration, when in order to inform a specialist what exactly the problem is, the user takes a screenshot and sends it to him.
Taking a screenshot
Strictly speaking, any screenshot can be called a screenshot, including one that can be obtained using external recording devices such as a camera or mobile phone. However, this method of taking screenshots is rarely used by users, since there is a special button on the keyboard of a standard format for creating screenshots.
This key on the keyboard is usually denoted by the letter combination PrtScr, which is an abbreviation for the English-language designation of the function in question - Print Screen, that is, "Print screen". Finding it is quite simple: it is located above the arrows on the keyboard. There is a block of nine keys, in the upper left corner of which the PrtScr button is located. Below it is the Insert key, and to the right of it is the Scroll Lock button.
The location of this key on a laptop usually differs from that described, since in order to save space, their keyboards often have a reduced set of buttons. Therefore, on such a device, it can be found in the upper row of keys on the right side of the letter section of the keyboard. To the left of it is the key for forward and oblique dividing lines, and to the right is the Pause button.
