Step 1
Check the passport or any other document describing the specifications of your digital camera. This is to make sure you can use the camera as a webcam. To do this, see if your camera has a video output that is used to connect to a TV for viewing photos and videos. Further, if such a possibility exists, find a USB cable and use it to connect the camera to the computer. Before that, install the appropriate software - the driver, which is usually attached on the disc bundled with the camera.

Install the software. Then download the ManyCam program from the Internet and also install it on your personal computer. The installation process itself will take you no more than 20 seconds. It does not require any special skills, and as a result, special efforts. To connect the camera as a webcam, find the required input on the video capture device. This can be a video card, a special adapter, or a tuner with a video output. Check for a live picture and launch the ManyCam program. Then select the signal source and start adjusting the image quality. In order to transfer a video to Skype, go to the "Tools" item in the ManyCam program, then select "Video Source". If video transmission occurs with a delay, distortion, or any other interference, repeat the entire operation again.
Step 3
Adjust the sensitivity of the camera directly in its settings to achieve the best image quality. It is possible to use a digital camera as a webcam, but it should be borne in mind that this is a rather power-consuming operation that will require a large number of sequential operations.
