Millions of users follow the links every day, leaving information about the visit in the browser cache. If you want to remove the links you followed, i.e. to unload them from the browser memory, it is enough to perform a few simple steps.
Necessary
Opera software
Instructions
Step 1
The browser cache contains not only files that help to quickly load pages already visited by the user, but also data on transitions and visits to Internet pages. You need to find the folder where this data is stored. This is quite easy to do. Open your Opera browser if you haven't already. In the top menu open "Help" and from the list of items select "About" or in the address bar of the new tab enter the command about and press Enter.
Step 2
You will see a complete summary of the running application. Here you should be interested in the "Paths" block and the "Cache" line. Highlight the path to this folder and copy using the following keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl + C or Ctrl + Insert (for Windows 7 it is C: Users / _user_name_AppDataLocalOperaOperacache). Open the "Windows Explorer" window and paste the contents of the clipboard in the address bar by pressing Ctrl + V or Shift + Insert. Press the Enter key.
Step 3
Now the contents of this directory need to be sorted by "Date of creation" or "Date of modification". If you want to remove recent click-through data, select the first few files. Otherwise, you can select a specific date and delete in the same way. To permanently delete, you need to press Shift + Delete or Delete, but then empty the "Recycle Bin" (right-click and select the item of the same name).
Step 4
The above actions can be done much faster if you use the "History" section in the "Tools" menu. This applet can be launched using the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + H. In the tab that opens, you need to find the desired time range, select the files and press the Delete key. In the confirmation window, press the Enter key.
