Multiboot disks are used to install the operating system (OS) of a computer. The difference between multiboot media and ordinary installation media is that a number of programs and drivers are added to the image of the former, which are also loaded from disk and can be installed along with the OS.

Instructions

Step 1

A multiboot disk allows you to work with a computer that does not have an OS installed. This medium is capable of breaking the hard disk into partitions, formatting them and other operations with the file system. Antivirus, office and any installation utilities can also be downloaded. For recording multiboot media, specialized programs can be used.

Step 2

Download images of the boot disk and programs that you want to include in the multiboot disk from a suitable Internet resource. Make sure the download file is in.iso or.mdf format. It is with these extensions that most utilities for burning installation disks work.

Step 3

Download and install the XBoot software. To do this, go to the official website of the program and select the download section. After the download is complete, navigate to the folder where the installation file was downloaded. Run it and follow the instructions of the installer. If you find a version of the program packed in the archive, then simply extract it to any folder convenient for you in the archive manager window.

Step 4

Drag the downloaded images of applications to burn into the program window. Also transfer the OS installation disk image.

Step 5

If the program fails to recognize the copied image, you will have to select its type manually. To do this, in the window that appears, select the Add Using Grub4dos ISO image Emulation item, then click Add this file.

Step 6

In the lower right part of the window, select Create ISO to save the resulting multiboot image file. Select the path to save the file and click "Save".

Step 7

Download and install the UltraISO app. To install it, follow the instructions that appear on the screen after starting the installation utility. After installation, right-click on the file created in XBoot and select "Open With" - UltraISO. Select the "Burn CD Image" item and click on the "Burn" button. Wait for the end of the disc burning procedure. Multiboot disc burning is complete.
