The Windows operating system is designed to work with several users of the same computer with different accounts. If necessary, the account of any user can be deleted, thereby reducing the number of system users.

Step 1
Working with user accounts (accounts) in the Windows operating system is carried out using a special service. It is launched as follows: go to the "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel" button.

In the control panel, select the "User Accounts" icon and double-click on it. All users of this computer are displayed in the window of this service. User accounts can be deleted or temporarily disabled. It is impossible to delete and disable only the administrator account, which has special rights.
Step 3
To remove a computer user, select the required account and click on it. The settings window for a specific account will open, in which all possible actions with the account will be presented. In order to remove a user, click on the link "Delete account".
Step 4
After that, the system will provide a choice of how to act with the files of the deleted account. Account data can be saved, which will allow the account files to be saved on the administrator's desktop, or permanently deleted from the hard disk. Select the required action. Then confirm the deletion of the account.
Step 5
In addition to logging into the system using a separate account with almost unlimited rights, you can use Windows using a special type of account called "Guest". The guest account cannot be deleted, but it can be disabled. To disable it, select the Guest account in the User Accounts window and click the Disable Guest Account link. Now, when you turn on the computer, you will not be presented with an account selection.
