Headers and footers are a convenient means of displaying information on all pages of a document, and you only need to enter data once. When adding a header or footer, it is automatically displayed on the first page, but this can be easily fixed.

Instructions

Step 1

Indeed, a header and footer on the first page of a document is rarely necessary, since this page usually contains a title page, which has its own structure and markup. You can delete a header and footer both in a ready-made document and during its creation.

Step 2

If you have created headers and footers in your document, double-click in the header and footer field and you will enter edit mode. The section "Working with headers and footers" is activated in the menu. Click the Options button and select the check box next to the Custom First Page Header and Footer menu item. Click in the header / footer edit box and delete the text box using the Backspace or Delete keys. To apply your changes, double-click just below the main body of the page.

Step 3

If you are just creating headers and footers, on the Header and Footer Tools menu, click Options, select the Custom First Page Header and Footer check box, and leave the header and footer field blank on the first page of your document. Go to the second page of the document and enter the text that will appear on the remaining pages of the document in the form of headers and footers.
