How to invert a color

Open the image in Paint.net using the Open command from the File menu or by pressing Ctrl + O. In web graphics, a color wheel is used to select colors when creating images, consisting of primary and secondary colors and transitions between them.

The primary colors are red, yellow and blue, the secondary colors are purple, orange and green. Complementary colors are obtained by mixing the main ones. Colors that lie opposite each other on the color wheel are called opposite. The opposite of blue is yellow, red is cyan, magenta is green, and so on.

To invert the color of the entire image, on the Adjustments menu, click the Invert Colors command. If you want to change the color of a certain fragment, you must first select it. To select a complex object, you can use the Magic Wand and Lasso tools on the toolbar. The "Invert Colors" command will be applied only to the selected areas of the picture.

How to replace a color

On the toolbar, click the Color Swap icon. While holding down the Ctrl key, click on the fragment of the image whose color you want to replace - it will become the main color on the palette. On the color wheel, choose a new color for the target area. After that, the replacement color will become the main color.

Adjust the tool diameter and sensitivity on the property bar. The lower the sensitivity value, the more selective Color Swap works. At 100% sensitivity, it works like a brush. Paint over the target area, if necessary, change the sensitivity and diameter of the instrument.
