In computers, unlike typewriters, the process of creating and editing documents is separate from the process of printing them. The production of paper copies is carried out by a peripheral device - a printer. Therefore, if in relation to typewriters the question "how to type" would sound strange, then in relation to computers it belongs to the area of basic knowledge.

Step 1
In order for the process of making a paper copy of a document to proceed normally, before sending it to print, you must make sure that the printer is ready for use. First, it must be installed in your operating system and connected to the system unit (via a print cable or network cable). Secondly, its power must be turned on and the paper tray is equipped with enough sheets to print your texts. Third, the cartridge (or cartridges) must have a sufficient amount of toner (powder or ink, depending on the type of printer).
Step 2
The document itself should also be prepared for printing. Adjust the size of the indents from the edge of the sheet. In addition to the appearance of the document, the number of printed sheets in a paper copy also depends on their values. In addition, the restrictions on the minimum margins vary for different printer models - make sure that you do not specify values that are unacceptable for your printing device.
Step 3
To put an open document in the print queue of your printer, select the appropriate item in the menu of the program used to edit it. It can be placed in different ways depending on which application you are using. For example, in a text editor Microsoft Office 2010, to get to it, you need to click a large round button, which the manufacturer calls office - this will open the main menu of the program. It can be opened by pressing the key combination alt="Image" + F. In the menu, go to the "Print" section - move the mouse cursor over it or press the "L" key. In this section, you have a choice of three options - to preview how the document will look in print, start a print dialog, or just send a print job without any questions.
Step 4
If you select the print dialog (just press Enter or the "H" key), then you will be able to select a printer (if there are several of them) or order printing to a file instead of a printer. In addition, you can set the number of copies, select two-sided printing, set the parameters for creating paper copies of only individual pages of the document. Scaling can also be configured here - the size of the printable area can be automatically adjusted to fit the paper size you specified, or the number of document pages you specified can be placed on each sheet. When all the dialog settings are done, click the "OK" button.
